anything to say about Season Three?

Survivors is an outstanding 38 episode drama series that first aired in the 1970s which still has a cult following today. The action is centred around the experiences of a group of individuals in England as they grapple with the post plague world and the trials of day-to-day survival. The remake of Survivors launched on BBC One at the end of October 2008 and the second series completed its run in February 2010.

Well I want to start the ball rolling on this by saying that having watched 'The Last Laugh' I personally do not have any sympathy for Greg after he came round at Cawston Farm.

Partly the blame can be laid at the two 'seemingly uninfected' men there but partly by the typical 'blunderbus - bull in a china shop' attitude of Greg of trying to locate Doctor Adams.

I wasn't that upset when he was infected and at the end gained a nose bleed indicating his limited life expectancy from the smallpox virus.

Personally I rather got the impression, during season three, that Greg's 'galivanting around the country' exercises were 'an accident waiting to happen' and that at some point it was inevitable that he'd contract a fatal disease through his reckless attitude.

Anyone got any thoughts about this???

I think there was definately room for series 4, and switching the power back on maybe happened too soon.In the stories I wrote, Greg is not dead, and suffers amnesia due to the illness.Dave

Hi Chris,I wrote some Survivors stories to bring it more up to date in the early 90s.Like Ian Mcculloch, I got nowhere with the BBC , as they were not interested at the time.Several people who read my stories felt I had captured the flavour of the series..best wishes Dave..

watched "Law of the Jungle" recently and was wondering...

When Brod threw Charles, Jenny and Hubert off the train why did the three of them go straight down directly towards the mad dogs. Wouldn't it have been better to either duck under the train and double back on themselves or proceed to either the left or right of the train and ground that way to safety. Maybe it was just merely macho posturing from self elected leader Charles against Brod???
