Hello there,

Captain Cubbio here. My real name is Craig, I'm a huge Doctor Who fan of the Original Series. My Favourite Doctor was: The Third Doctor - Jon Pertwee from 1970 to 1974, He brought class and style to Doctor Who then followed Tom Baker - The Fourth Doctor from 1974 to 1981.

I'm also a big fan of Classic Original Series of Star Trek, Next Generation & Enterprise.

Star Trek Movies are great to watch, Doctor Who new series from 2005 to 2008 so far has been Fantasic with Christopher & David both playing The Doctor & Murray Gold bringing back that famous Theme Tune.

Gerry Anderson Cult TV Classics: Thunderbirds, UFO, Stingray, Captain Scarlet, Space 1999, Terrahawks, The Secret Service, JOE 90, Fireball XL5, Supercar, are all Favourites of mine. I've got all of the TV Soundtracks except Secret Service & UFO also Terrahawks from Barry Gray, Richard Harvey.

I love doing Voluntary Hospital Radio Presenting in my local area, For a Voluntary Hospital Radio Station called Castle Mead Radio in Hinckley, Leicestershire. They are a Registered Charity & have had funds from The National Lottery, We rely on Donation's, And Fund's also Sponsorship's from different company's, People communities etc. We Broadcast 24 hrs a day - 7 day's a week, To Elderly Patients & Hospital's Member's of Staff. Check out Castle Mead Radio's website: http://www.earsight.co.uk/CMR/default.htm

Welcome aboard Craig, good to have you here!

Yeah I also prefer the 'classic series' of Doctor Who to the new reboot, fine though it is I personally feel it doesn't stand up to continual viewings like the original run. I'm certainly with you about Jon Pertwee and the whole class and style aspect you've picked up but for me I think its a tie between the genius of Patrick Troughton and the returned mystery of the character as provided by Sylvester McCoy particularly in his final season (e.g. 'Battlefield' - 'Are you Merlin?')

I also like the Star Trek franchise although never really got into Enterprise. My personal favourite has got to be Deep Space Nine with so much detail, plots, subplots and character development going on.

My favourite Star Trek movie has got to be 'Star Trek : First Contact' and most of the cinematic offerings are pretty good and I've offered opinions of the special edition DVDs in my play.com reviews (I'm 'Humanleaguefan' by the way!). Yes indeed the 2005-2008 series reboot of Doctor Who has been highly impressive and truely deserving of the instant first viewing ratings they have been getting on BBC1. Murray Gold should also be commended for all the fantastic work he has done with not just the theme tune but also incidental pieces that significantly elevant the impact of each story.

I certainly appreciate the various series that Gerry Anderson has created over the years although I've only got both seasons of Space 1999 on DVD at present. Haven't got any TV Soundtracks but I do have soundtrack CD albums to all ten of the Star Trek movies.
