what happened to all that 'new series' talk???

Blakes 7 is a Science Fiction television series created by Terry Nation and shown by the BBC. It started in 1978 and ran until 1981 giving us four series and a very memorable finale - which to this day is still the topic of conversation between fans of the series. A rumoured remake is in development by Sky TV in the UK.

what happened to all that 'new series' talk???

Do you remember all that talk about a new series a while ago and how Paul Darrow declined to be involved...

Hasn't it all gone so very quiet since then, clearly IMO the moment has surely now passed now that we have all four seasons (plus the audio stories (bad though they undoubtedly are!)) have now been released on DVD

The only mention I could spot was on the b7media.com site (http://www.b7media.com) with the arty poster which probably has Roj Blake's eyes above that burning flag.

You know now that we have been wowed with the revival of Doctor Who (and its drama spinoffs ('Torchwood', 'Sarah Jane Investigates' plus forthcoming 'Survivors' and outside the sci-fi arena 'Robin Hood') just imagine what they could do for 'Blake's rabble fighting against the forces of the Federation'!

Hears hoping that there will be news in the near future!

"Well now," - I wouldn't hold your breathe on a NEW "B7" being made anytime soon. NOT BY THEM

When "PAUL" left the project, SO did most of the audience/fans.

Losing your already established audience for something was not the way to go about gaining NEW "B7" fans and, reviving the show!!! Evil or Very Mad

The only way this will ever happen is when the rights refer back to "TERRY NATION'S Estate" etc - and, someone else has a chance at doing a NEW VERSION.

Co-creator of "LIFE ON MARS" ("MATTHEW GRAHAM") has mentioned that he's interested in reviving the show.
