'Classic Series' trivia/rare merchandise

Classic Doctor Who is the longest-running science fiction television series in the history of broadcasting, a series that began on the BBC1 network in the United Kingdom in November 1963 and ran until 1989. Whilst UK viewers warmed to the subsequent 1996 TV movie ratings were not similiarly strong in America and this co-production sadly spelled eighth incarnation Paul McGann's only appearance to date.

Was doing some tidying up yesterday afternoon when I came across a piece of paper concerning 'classic series Doctor Who' which read:-

Maggy Moogies N’Mutts by Maggy Howard

Maggy Howard paints life size wooden companion boards of peoples’ pets which sit realistically in the home making an amusing talking point for friends.

Colin Baker commissioned her to paint all his five cats and a whippet; and consequently to design and make the small portrait brooches of Eric and Weeble for the 1986 Dr Who sries.

If you are interested in such a unique record of your pet… all are signed, numbered and dated, prices range from £50… please telephone or send a S.A.E. to:

Don't know if this lady is still doing this, it's a very old bit of paper but interesting nevertheless.

Probably bought one or two of the cat badges that adorned Colin Baker's patchwork coat of many colours that he wore in the series but for the life of me I really can't find them.
