Blake's Seven to return... on audio!?*@

Blakes 7 is a Science Fiction television series created by Terry Nation and shown by the BBC. It started in 1978 and ran until 1981 giving us four series and a very memorable finale - which to this day is still the topic of conversation between fans of the series. A rumoured remake is in development by Sky TV in the UK.

Yeah bit of a scoop from the current issue of TVZone magazine who reported that there will be new adventures with the crew of the Liberator and they quote this website:-

for further details.

This could be good if the stories are up to the standard we are used to from the 'classic series' however absolutely none of the original cast will be returning.

How can it succeed with out such a memorable regular cast, it could be interesting to find out! Confused

...oh and whilst on the subject of 'Blake's Seven' heres a link to the official appreciation society- http://www.horizon.org.uk/news.php

"Well now'" - Already, there is a lot of heated discussions about this NEW Audio of the show being produced by a certain company (on other Forums). Maily, due to the upset they have caused "B7" Fans in the past. Many aren't interested (including myself) in this new project.

These won't have any of the original cast re-creating thier roles but, totally new actors/actresses and, as it's Audio. WHY not use the "original" cast members?? Re-casting for visual medium I could understand. Evil or Very Mad

Seems, they have upset their core-Fan base yet again and, doubt that many NEW Fans will be interested in this project!!!
