Hello from a new member

The BBC's brilliant SECRET ARMY dramatised the lives of the brave men and women who ran the resistance evasion lines, which assisted Allied aircrews to escape from German occupied countries into neutral countries like Spain or Switzerland, during the Second World War

Hello,

Just to indroduce myself as a new member, all the way from sunny Southampton. I came accross this site whilst looking for some information on Secret Army.

I am a new convert to the series via UK TV Gold, and have since bought series 1 & 2 on DVD. It is very refreshing to see a lifelike drama on TV, one that does not always have a happy ending. The writing and acting also is top notch. Being keen on military history is an added bonus.

I am taking a trip for Brussels next summer and am looking forward to visiting some of the locations used. I am using the map on 'La Candide' website as a guide. Does anyone know if any other towns in Belgium were used whilst filming, I frequently visit there so would be interested in seeing a few more places of Secret Army nostalga.

Hello to a kindred spirit... another Secret Army fan harking from the fair city of Southampton!

Indeed a very shrewd move to nab a copy of series one and two... hopefully getting series three and maybe even 'Kessler' http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/734699/Kessler/Product.html aren't too far behind.

Good to have you on board!

Hello fellow Sotonian,

I purchase 'Kessler' on DVD a while back after seeing 'Secret Army' on TV. To be honest it was a bit of a let down, and as a series did not age well. I thought Clifford Rose was good but that was about all. It was an interesting idea though.

Is there a spell check for the posts by the way ? As I am sure I have made plenty of errors !
