I recently purchased "Happy Days" season one DVD boxset and whilst viewing it recognised an actress in one episode that i had seen before. It was Diana Canova who played Corinne Tate in "Soap". Whilst i was doing a little research i was astounded to discover that it nearly didn't get aired at all because of its so called controversial subject matter.
All i can remember is it was a very funny show which poked fun at all of the "serious" soap operas around at the time. There were certainly no boring characters in the show, indeed most of the characters were barking mad
. I particularly used to like Burt Campbell who just stole every scene he was in, and Chuck and Bob who were actually a man and a ventriloquist dummy that generally insulted everyone. I was disappointed to find that it isn't available on Region 2 yet but i am hoping that it will be released one day.Any other memories?
