Good to see 'Mirror Man' cropping up on the second CD soundtrack album rubbing shoulders IMO with quite a good selection of other tracks.

Also happy to see that the series gains a Radio Times front cover and inside article

I've got into the habbit of 'double episode' watching by taping two mondays and watching them on the next Wednesday evening.

Have to say that I thought the first couple of this Second Season were marvellous, just last last year. However watching three and four 'back to back' I was certainly a tad disappointed as the stories didn't overly grab my interest. Also I rather feel, and I might be wrong about this, that we don't get as much music as we did during Season One. Another thing I noticed is there has been a subtle change to the opening theme tune, it doesn't have the immediate impact that we had with last years titles.

Anyway I'm certainly happy to keep watching as it's certainly a series that isn't without a certain viewing appeal (e.g. character interaction)

I was watching five and six last night and thought they were really quite excellent, certainly further enthusing me to nab the box set later this year.

Wasn't overly impressed with episodes seven and eight which I watched 'back-to-back' last night... Really could have done with more music although thought there was really excellent use of Gary Numan's "Music For Chameleons".

Don't want to 'blow the big secret' about how the second season ended but it was certainly quite surprising about the fate of Alex and makes DCI Gene Hunt all the more mysterious...

Anyone got any thoughts about the end of the season on the entire second season in general, was it good, bad or indiferent compared with the first season.

Personally I would have liked more music this second run and there were flashes of narrative genius, I really enjoyed episodes 1,2,5 & 6 but was disappoined with the others

Anyway looking forward to some '(Keep Feeling) 'Fascination' for season three going into '83 for 2010!

Well just about in time (for series 3) i finally have caught up and watched the complete series 2. It was bought for my birthday last July but then my dad spent just over 4 months months in hospital and i forgot about it. Anyhow when i started to see series 3 being advertised it gave me a kick up the backside and i got watching.

I thought overall that series 2 was better than series 1. I quite liked the theme of corruption in the force that ran through the entire series and it was a great innovation to have a sinister character also from the present messing with Alex's mind. The ending i thought was superb, perfect for another series to follow. My take on it is that Alex Drake is now in a coma in both the past and the present, unlucky girl .

The one thing that seemed out of place and out of character was Chris employing deception and taking bungs. It just didn't fit with his character at all. And if he had taken a bung then Gene Hunt's reaction to it was also way out of character. He would have punched Chris's lights out and drummed him out of the force.

But nitpicking aside it was a very good series. And the bonus of only just having seen it for the first time is i have only got to wait a couple of days for series 3. Bring it on.
