Lost is a brilliant new television series produced by ABC in America. Lost is nearing the end of its first season in America and has just been renewed for a second series. I have seen the last 19 episodes and it is the most amazing TV series I have ever seen! Full of great characterisation and plot.

The good news is that Lost has been picked up by Channel 4 here in the UK. Expect to see an intense marketing campaign leading up to its UK premier this Summer.

DON'T MISS IT !!!!!

Also - some friendly advice. DO NOT try and seek out fan sites / web sites on the subject of this TV series as it will spoil your viewing! It strives off its mystery and plot twists and any accidental revelations from the internet will ruin it for you!

I would suggest you read this premise page at the Unofficial Lost Fan Site and try not to venture any further!

Don't know if you are much of a newspaper reader but in today's Daily Telegraph there is an article about 'Lost', which I saw whilst looking through the library copy of the paper today.

Its in the 'Arts & Books' suppliment, pages 4 & 5. Its a pretty good article (with good accompanying pics) written by Benji Wilson which ends by saying that this series is coming to Channel 4 (like you said) but now gives a start date of Wednesday, August 10th.

I was a little put off by Benji saying that it is the first drama seres to be inspired by a reality show (I've become rather bored with Big Brother, can't be bothered with it this year) however the first paragrah of the article has rather changed my mind.

I might just give it a go

Certainly not!! Its a rip off.

If you have a Region 1 capable DVD player I would highly recommend you go for the US release which contains the entire run of 23 episodes and is packed with great extras and commentaries. The supplier I always use is Movietyme who I highly recommend!

It just won the Emmy Award for best drama series. Until watching the Emmys last week, I had thought it was another reality show!
