Was the anti-Hitler plot that Brandt was involved in the July 20th 1944 one??

Also, at the end season when Kessler managed to get Reinhardt shot by firing squad for involvement with an anti-Hitler plot was Reinhardt actually involved in the plot or was Kessler just getting his own back on him??

With Reinhardt, I'd say it was the latter-I can't think of any example given in the series of Reinhardt being involved in any anti-Hitler acts-I know he wasn't exactly pro Hitler and the Nazis, but I don't remember him being actively involved in his removal-even at the level Brandt was.

As for the question of the date with Brandt-I can't actually remember the dates involved-I suppose it's possible, given how far into the war Secret Army is set-another excuse for a re watch I think! <!--emo&:lol:-->[img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img]<!--endemo-->

sorry to be pedantic but surely Rheinhart was court-martialed and shot because he didn't shoot Albert and then gave himself up without a fight.

I'm confused about Kessler 'Getting his own back'.....................for what ?
I thought Kessler was a dyed-in-the-wool Nazi who could not switch off from being a gestapo officer even in the face of defeat.........................Have i missed something ?

The anti - Hitler plot in which Brandt was almost involved, was before the 20th July, since the concluding episode of serires two happens on D day - the 6th of June. I think Kessler calls it the "rifle" plot or something, at least that's what it sounds like.

The reason Kessler is so keen to get rid of Reinhardt is not vengeance at all, that is just the excuse for shooting him. The real reason is surely that Reinhardt can lead allied investigators to Kessler too easily and in many great dramas it is a requirement that the chief villain escapes. This opens the possibility of sequels etc, which obviously happened with "Kessler". Think of the scene where Darth Vader escapes at the end of Star Wars episode 4.

You're quite right. I was speaking from my memory of the show which, as I have learned from watching the repeats, was far from 100% accurate
