Last Episode?

The BBC's brilliant SECRET ARMY dramatised the lives of the brave men and women who ran the resistance evasion lines, which assisted Allied aircrews to escape from German occupied countries into neutral countries like Spain or Switzerland, during the Second World War

Can someone please put me out my misery? I had my sky box set to record the Secret Army automatically but the last episode I saw was when Kessler had Rheinhard shot and was aided in his escape by the Canadian. Was that the last episode because either my kids or the box let met down? If not can someone let me know how the show ends. Obviously Kessler gets away. Please can anyone help?

Hello there.
Execution was the final episode broadcast by the BBC. Another episode was made called 'What did your daddy do in the war?' or something similar. It was pulled by the BBC at the last minute and never broadcast. No one really knows why, but possibly too anti-communist for the BBC.
There was an earlier enquiry about the episode by myself, but nobody has seen it and the general feeling is nobody will. Possibly it doesn't exist any more.

The pulled episode was set in 1969, during the celebrations of the 25th Birthday of VE Day, Lifeline members got together again after not seeing one another for 25 years, The character of Nathalie had become bitter and very anti-Communist because of the death of Fran?ois, She became involved in Vietnam somehow, another controversial problem with the episode was that the Lifeline Members wondered if all the sacrifices and misery had been worth it, that their contribution to the War Effort had been meaningfull. Some scenes of the episode were used in the follow up serie "Kessler"
