New for January 2008 over in the USA, FOX TV will premiere 'Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles', a spin-off series from the highly successful Arnie Cyborg films.

The site http://fox.com/terminator/home.htm, trailer and poster artwork certainly look impressive and it all seems like rather good 'kick ass sci-fi' to get the New Year off to a great start... Will this promise be met... we shall all just have to wait and see!

This launches in the UK on satellite channel 'Virgin 1' on Thursday 21st February at 10.00pm

I must admit I will be staying well clear, it looks terrrible. In general I am not a big fan of TV spin off series. The original movies were very enjoyable (the first 2 that is). These and Predator were the only films of his that I enjoy.

It was an excellent - and well received - series. Some were surprised it wasn't more bombastic but instead concentrated on story and characterisation to a fair degree.

I too felt this needed to be avoided. However, I picked the Season One set on Blu-Ray and was blown away by it! Excellent series with some great stories and some brilliant emotional moments that the films have never done for me!

Honestly, give it a chance! You will be surprised.

Roll on Season Two which airs in a few weeks in the US.
