Uktv Drama

The BBC's brilliant SECRET ARMY dramatised the lives of the brave men and women who ran the resistance evasion lines, which assisted Allied aircrews to escape from German occupied countries into neutral countries like Spain or Switzerland, during the Second World War

Yeah this rather appeared rather out of the blue.

Shame if you are working in that case the scheduling is pretty crap.

You've got 5.00pm, 11.00am or for those really hardened fans try getting to see it every weekday morning at 5.00am.

I'm so delighted that I have the option of watching whenever it is best for me through those marvellous DD Home Entertainment DVD box sets.

Still it is indeed great news to have a repeat transmission of this truely great BBC drama series.

Having said that I notice that you do get five episodes 'back-to-back' on Sunday mornings which has got to be good news!

It seems that UK TV Drama are now getting their act together. Let's hope they get some new 'Cult' classics into their schedules!

Yes! I saw that-not bad at all.

I wish they'd put Colditz on-I haven't seen much of that series at all-I'm sure I'd like it.

Hmmmm-not only are they cutting episodes on UK TV Drama, they are now, either squashing the credits or waffling over the top of them.

What a shoddy way to treat this great series.

Starting tomorrow, on UKTV Drama, is series one AND two of Secret Army.

But seeing as they'll butcher it again, ignore that and buy the dvds!

Yeah, Reinhardt

I noticed this cropping up from UKTV Drama, bless them for at least showing it, despite how hacked about it undoubtedly will be. It was because of them that I renewed my interest in the series about ten years ago now.

I've got SKY and when hitting the info button yesterday it said that 'Lucky Piece' (Season 2, episode 3) was the episode to be shown. In fact it was 'Radishes with Butter' (Season 1, episode 3). Bit of a breakdown in communication there I think.

Doesn't bother me as I'm currently watching a couple of episodes each week from Season Two on Thursday evening in preporation for the arrival of 'Kessler'. Last night I was watching 'Not According To Plan' and 'Scorpion'

It was interesting to watch 'Scorpion' on the DVD and occasionally hope across to see bits of 'Radishes...' on Drama. Is it me or does anyone else perceive a distinct change in filmic quality between seasons one and two.

A quick answer could put this down to the Candide moving from Cafe to Restaurant but I think it's more than that.

Compare if you will the scenes with Curtis visiting the Jewish family ('Radishes')and Max talking with his Communist mates ('Scorpion') and I think you will see where I'm going with this.
